JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

With us, you will have an educational, developing, and fun job where you make a real difference. As a nursing assistant, you are an extended arm for the elderly and provide support where it is needed most; no day is the same!

Björkhaga offers care tailored to different needs; we work with both somatic care and dementia care. Through a process-oriented working method, we create clear structures and flows with the care recipient in focus.

We are now looking for four nursing assistants for our dementia department. You will be an important part of an engaged team that works for high quality, continuity, and a person-centered approach.

Your role includes:

• Planning support, care, and service
• Establishing and working from implementation plans in consultation with the individual and their representatives
• Participating in activities together with the care recipient, both individually and in groups
• Performing delegated health and medical tasks
• Listening to the care recipient's needs and communicating these to colleagues.

We are looking for someone who has a genuine interest in people and who wants to contribute to a safe and meaningful everyday life for our care recipients.

QUALIFICATIONS

You are a trained nursing assistant or specialist nursing assistant. It is an advantage if you have dementia training or experience from working in dementia care and are accustomed to extended delegation.

We are looking for someone who is positive, responsible, and has the ability to adapt to new conditions. You have good communication skills and find it easy to collaborate and build trusting relationships, which is an important part of the job. A large part of your role involves creating security and contact with our care recipients, their relatives, and other professionals. At Björkhaga, good relationships are particularly important as we have close cooperation with volunteer organizations, schools, and meeting points.

We are in an exciting phase of digital development, which means you need to have good computer skills and a willingness to contribute to innovative development work.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

A driver's license and access to a car are required for the position to be able to commute to work.

To be considered for a position within the care administration in Kalmar Municipality, a police record extract must be presented.
